
Drew Bagnell
Co-Founder and Chief Scientist
Drew has over 25 years of experience at the intersection of machine learning, robotics, and autonomous vehicles. He also serves as a Consulting Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute and Machine Learning Department, where his research has earned multiple best paper awards at ICML, RSS, ICRA, and the 2024 AAAI Classic Paper Award. He received his PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. Drew is also a recipient of Carnegie Mellon’s 2016 Ryan Award for Meritorious Teaching and founded the Robotics Institute Summer Scholars program.
