What we are looking for

We’re searching for a Director, Head of Finance and ERP Technology, that is be a builder-first technical leader responsible for transforming our global financial applications into a secure, scalable and AI-integrated backbone. Balancing long-term technical vision with deep, hands-on engineering execution, you will eliminate operational fragmentation across our core ERP and cross-functional business platforms to support and scale global operations at Aurora. You are a systems thinker who thrives on designing complex end-to-end financial data pipelines, establishing bulletproof compliance architectures, and deploying cutting-edge AI automation to make our back-office operations as sophisticated as our external products.
In this role, you will
Lead ERP Platform & System Orchestration: Set the technical vision and lead the hands-on engineering of our core ERP platform. You will personally model, optimize, and scale business process architectures across a broad footprint including Finance & Accounting, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), complex Revenue Recognition, and Manufacturing (MRP) environments.
Execute Hands-On Financial Architecture: Actively design and build the robust API-driven middleware layers, data workflows, and system crosswalks required to seamlessly integrate our ERP with banking, GTM platforms, and supply chain networks.
Deploy AI & Financial Automation: Define and execute our strategy for AI adoption across internal finance platforms. Identify opportunities to replace high-friction manual tasks with AI-powered workflows and build "internal agents" to automate business processes.
Enforce Compliance & Controls: Architect and embed rigid governance frameworks, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and segregation of duties (SoD) within our systems to ensure flawless auditability, regulatory compliance, and public-company/SOX readiness.
Drive Data Governance & Reporting: Establish the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy for financial data objects. Build the technical data infrastructure necessary to ensure absolute data integrity and surface high-fidelity, real-time analytics for the business partners.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Serve as the principal technical partner to the Finance, Sourcing, Operations, and Security leadership teams, translating complex technical risks, capabilities, and system roadmaps into strategic business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
14+ years of experience leading ERP platforms, financial applications, and solutions engineering, including 6+ years of experience in leadership and management track in high-growth technology or manufacturing environments.
Proven, hands-on configuration and architectural mastery of modern cloud ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP). You must understand the underlying database schemas, table relationships, and backend logic rather than just managing functional setups.
Deep technical familiarity with end-to-end enterprise workflows across corporate finance, revenue recognition standards, global procurement, and manufacturing resource planning.
Extensive experience operating in a public-company environment, with a strong mastery of SOX compliance, system auditing, and security controls.
Exceptional ability to map complex global data flows, design secure integrations, and unify disparate enterprise SaaS tools into a coherent operational backbone.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in designing, building, or deploying Agentic AI automation.
Advanced expertise in holistic financial systems blueprinting, with a proven track record of architecting multi-platform ecosystems from scratch.
The base salary range for this position is $216,000 - $280,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
