Detecting a pedestrian running across the highway

The Aurora Driver encounters and avoids a person attempting to cross the highway.

Anything can happen on the open road, including encounters with people or animals darting through moving traffic. In this video, the Aurora Driver detects a pedestrian on the side of the highway over 300 meters away. As the Aurora Driver approaches, the pedestrian begins to run out into the road. The Aurora Driver immediately slows down to allow them to safely pass by, and then continues on its journey.
